About Blackbird Beading and Design:

I'm an Indigenous artist based in Saskatoon and the owner of Blackbird Beading & Design. I’m Anishinaabe (Odawa), and a member of Walpole Island First Nation in Ontario.

There was a time that I felt disconnected from my culture. Reconnecting with that part of myself has been a big part of my journey and myWhy.

Through art and beadwork, I found a way to reconnect with myself, both creatively and culturally. What started as something personal became something I wanted to keep building on. Now, creating is a way for me to express my story in a way that feels honest and true to me and the clients I work with!

My work is shaped by my experiences, culture, and creative expression and I hope to create pieces that feel meaningful, personal, and something to be proud of!
